Privacy Policy
Version 2.0 — Last updated: April 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Quizpie (“we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to https://quizpie.com and any related services we operate.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address, display name, optional first and last name, and a password (stored as a hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.
Profile content. Avatar image, username, and any quizzes, questions, answers, results, tags, or descriptions you create.
Activity data. Quiz plays, answers, scores, bookmarks, ratings, comments, reports, leaderboard entries, and Pinterest pin clicks you trigger on the Site.
Search queries. When you use the search bar, we log the search text along with the time, your locale, IP address, an anonymous session token, and your user ID (if you are signed in). We use this to improve search quality and decide what content to add. Logs are retained up to 24 months.
Push notification tokens. If you opt in to browser push notifications, we store a push subscription token issued by your browser so we can send notifications about new quizzes or activity on yours.
Technical data. IP address, user-agent (browser/device), referrer, language preference, and cookies used to keep you signed in and remember preferences.
Cookies and similar tech. We use cookies for session management, security (CSRF protection), preferences, basic analytics, and—where ads are enabled—advertising. You can clear or block cookies in your browser; some features may not work without them.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To operate and secure the Site (authentication, anti-abuse, fraud prevention).
- To deliver features you request (creating and playing quizzes, bookmarks, history, leaderboards, push notifications).
- To moderate user-generated content for compliance with our Terms.
- To analyze usage patterns, improve the product, and decide what content to publish.
- To communicate with you (transactional emails such as password resets, push notifications you opted into, and—if you opt in—occasional product updates).
- To display advertising on supported pages.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. Third-Party Service Providers (Sub-Processors)
We share limited information with the following providers strictly to operate the Site. Each is bound by their own privacy commitments — links provided.
- Cloudflare — hosting and image delivery; receives request metadata and stores uploaded images. Privacy.
- Google (OAuth + reCAPTCHA + AdSense + Analytics) — sign-in, ad serving, analytics. Privacy.
- Microsoft Clarity — anonymized session-replay analytics to debug UX issues. Loaded after page load. Privacy.
- Pinterest — when you click a Pin button, your browser opens Pinterest with the URL and image you chose to share. We do not send Pinterest your account data; Pinterest may set its own cookies.
- Kie.ai (AI image generation) — when an authorized user triggers AI image generation for a spinning wheel, we send the wheel description and a screenshot of the wheel render to Kie.ai's API to produce a Pinterest pin image. Inputs and outputs may be retained by Kie.ai per their terms. kie.ai.
- Adapex — advertising partner; may collect pseudonymized identifiers for ad personalization. Privacy.
- Email/notification provider — used to send transactional emails (e.g., password resets, account notifications).
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share personal data for purposes unrelated to operating the Site, except as required by law.
4. User-Generated Content Is Public
Quizzes, results, comments, and other content you publish are public by default. Your username, display name, avatar, and play history (where you have made it visible) can be seen by other users. Don't post anything you wouldn't want public.
5. Children
The Site is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (e.g., EU/EEA, UK, California), you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete your account and associated data (some logs may be retained as required by law or for security);
- export a copy of your content;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- withdraw consent for optional processing (e.g., push notifications) at any time;
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email admin@quizpie.com. We respond within 30 days.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account and content for as long as your account is active. Search logs are kept up to 24 months. Backups are kept up to 90 days. After account deletion, identifying data is removed from active systems within 30 days; aggregated, anonymized analytics may be retained indefinitely.
8. International Transfers
We and our service providers may process your data in countries other than where you live, including the United States. By using the Site you consent to those transfers, subject to appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) where required by law.
9. Security
We protect data with industry-standard measures (TLS in transit, hashed passwords, access controls). No system is perfectly secure; if you suspect your account has been compromised, change your password and contact us immediately.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy. If changes are material, we will give reasonable notice. Continued use of the Site after the effective date means you accept the updated Policy.
